About the Artist - Deborah Fox
Deborah is a full time artist based in Hexham, Northumberland, working from the Fox Family home garden studio alongside her husband the sculptor Robin Fox. She hand makes unique gifts in mixed media utilising mainly epoxy clay, crackled metal/silver leaf, ink tints, Scottish beach cobbles and hardwoods. Wherever possible Deborah tries to reuse / upcycle materials.
Deborah loves using mixed media and the ability it provides to blend new and natural materials together to create her distinctive style. The scope of work is ever evolving with main themes being birds, animals and the natural world.
Her venture into arts and crafts began in 2013 following a nursing career of nearly 30 years. This lifestyle change has suited Deborah well and she feels that it’s a privilege to be able to lovingly craft gifts that give people enjoyment.
