Sheep Dish
A hand-built ceramic decorative sheep dish by Lucy Blackley, individually fired using the Raku process.
A note from Lucy:
Raku is a traditional Japanese firing technique where ceramics are removed from the kiln at intense heat and placed into combustible materials. The reaction between heat and smoke creates the distinctive crackles, colours and markings that make each piece unique.
Growing up in Cumbria, surrounded by its landscapes and wildlife, has been a lasting source of inspiration for my work.
